As a small-businessman, Ray has owned his own accounting firm on the South Shore for over 30 years. For 25 of those years he’s been an independent auditor of government.Â
A veteran, Ray served two years active duty in the United States Navy and four years in the reserves. Upon completion of active duty, he entered the University of Rhode Island where he obtained a degree in Accounting.
After college, Ray worked as an auditor at Price Waterhouse obtaining his license as a Certified Public Accountant . After leaving Price Waterhouse he took positions as the controller and treasurer of several companies.
Active in town affairs, Ray was a member and chairman of the Cohasset Advisory Committee, and served for nine years on the sewer commission – three years as chairman.
Ray’s professional and civic involvements have provided him a comprehensive understanding of business and individual taxes,  government pensions, and government fiscal policy.
